Dr. Pierre Dukan is a French nutritionist whose diet plan book has sold more than three million copies worldwide. It is the weight-loss programme popular with French women and is often called the French Diet.
Fast Weight Loss
Dukan is a former medical doctor and his diet has been well researched, tested and is very effective. Dr. Dukan doesn't believe in calorie-counting. His diet consists of four stages. The first is the attack stage. This is a short, intense period of fast weight loss. It involves eating as much as required from a list of 72 high protein foods. This includes fish, lean meat, tofu and a few non-fat dairy products.
